Wimpy makes his way up ...Now I know what all the excitement is about when Jeepers start talking about Moab. Beautiful country, great weather, extreme traction ... the kind of traction that makes you feel like you can go anywhere.

I have little time now, so will return in a few days to add more thoughts about Moab and pictures as well ... until then, here is a picture of Wimpy working his way up a small wall.

I generally try to keep my political ramblings to myself, especially in this blog, not wanting to alienate readers. But this issue is of too much importance to ignore. The resemblance of the title of this post to the documentary by a similar name is not coincidental ... but this post is not about that specific movie.

I know this is way, way late ... but it seems too good not to share.

The Deed: With the McNiel family dealing with Cori's serious illness, her first request was that someone help Devon get his truck, a 1995 C3500 Chevy dually pickup, running so he'd have the opportunity to go wheeling again.

Thanks to everyone that helped make the First Annual Vine Maple Run a success. As usual, I had a great time and hope everyone else did as well.

... and we had Fun, Fun, Fun 'til Lisa took the music awaaaaaayyyyyyy.

Sure, there was racing, roll-overs, raucous behavior and roiling clouds of dust, but in the end it boiled down to good friends, good food and good music.
