Rimrock

Pre-run weekend

WOW,

The RimRock views were totally awsome and the wheelin was great as well. It was a very long trip there and back but worth it. Put on 461 miles on RubyDoo this past weekend.

Pre-run this comming weekend

After checking stuff out for 2 hours, I could NOT find bake oven flats except on our site. So I maped a trip from home to the town of RimRock, WA. and its 141.4 miles and 2 hours and 56 mins.

Rimrock Lake June 27 - 29

Let's hope I get it right this time. Friday June 27 through Sunday the 29th. Camp at Bakeoven Flats. For those of you who haven't been there it's a limited service, fee area. There is an outhouse. No fresh clean water. It is right on the Tieton river. Be prepared for a long day, any type of weather, and temperature

Trail Jam Day 1 - Rimrock

The KnuckleHeads had taken care to select an appropriately difficult, but scenic series of trails in the Rimrock area, including two trips to the area to insure we had a safe way down from the ridge. So we felt pretty confident starting out with a dozen strange rigs and possibly stranger drivers, leaving the staging area at Jim Sprick Park at 6:30.

Rimrock Prerun for Trail Jam 6/29-7/1

Melody and I left Friday afternoon with 3 very excited grandkids. Jeep in tow with the kids Jeep, quad, and bicycle piled on top. It was pouring down rain from Kent to White Pass. We determined that if this is what we woke up to we'd back home by noon on Saturday. Cresting the summit of White pass and with Rimrock Lake in site we were ready for a double dose of Valium, Prozac, or at least some adult beverages. Did I mention the kids were excited. When we left home they were just getting started.
