Elbe Hills Orv Park Update

I want to thank everyone for coming to the last focus meeting. A lot of good has come from it and a lot has happened since the meeting.

One thing I have found out is that NANCY BARKER is not our enemy. She is actually committed to bringing the park to a level that will provide the best possible experience to everyone. Dnr has stated that they want to encourage people to be involved in meetings and work parties.

Since the meeting there has been some really good ideas and suggestions that could bring solutions to the problems with The Busy Wild trail.

I have had a lot of communication with upper level Management of DNR and have been educated as to how things work.

I recognize that DNR has a difficult road ahead trying to figure out how to provide a safe and pleasant and challenging experience for all of us and also deal with the environmental and resource impacts of our sport. I now believe that Nancy Barker is doing her very best for all of us.

The last couple of months I did my very best to get a lot of people to show up and fight DNR to stop the Wheel base restriction. Dnr saw that a lot of you also cared about the busy wild.

After speaking to DNR a lot and learning how things work I suggest we try to work with DNR and try to build a working relationship with them. I don’t believe that fighting with them will help us.

I would like to see all of us support Nancy and try to help her accomplish what ever is needed at the park.

I would like to also say that when I heard about the restriction I got really upset and wanted to do everything I could to get as many people as possible to come out and fight. A lot of you did that.

At that time I had no idea how hard Nancy Barker was working to help our park. I am asking all of you to please show her your support and help her in any way that we can.
