Little sunday run.

I tried to get more of you to come, but with not much response, trevor, ralph, and myself headed out with the intention of goin to evans creek. We decided along the way to check out a little area trevor has been exploring just outside Burnett. We turned off the road just past the store and onto a muddy road, stopped just a little ways in and Kode jumped in with trevor, and Quintin jumped in the front seat of my jeep. Ralphie and Marria werein his jeep. As we comtinued along the muddy road, i thought it was nice to be in an area i havent been to in a long time. We came out of the woods and into an area that was obiviously stompin grounds for the local quad and dirt bike riders. It was full of narrow trails through the woods and into the open areas. It was easy to see that 4x4's are out there all the time, with all the ruts and mud holes around. we had a great time sloshin through the mud holes and the ruts, as well as up the sandy hill and back down the other side. Having Quintin in the front seat was fun to see. He had so much more to look at and really enjoyed himself. After a short 20-30 minute backtrack to find one of trevors fender flares, we decided to try and get to the next ridge over to see if we could see Enumclaw or Buckley. We came to a canyon that was mostly sand, and of course Ralph ws the fist to try. It seemed to be no problem and he gave trevor and i the A OK to come through. Trevor was in front of me and as he approached the entrance of the canyon, i could sense the nervousness in him. it was quite the off camber approach and as the cherokee got higher and higher on the passanger side, he went slower and slower. All teh worry was for not as he went right through with no porblems. As we got to the point where we were gonna get to the next ridge, "NO TRESPASSING" signage was everywhere. So after a nice little squeeae through some concrete blocks, we were back on a dirt road that lead us back to wilkeson. From there we went to the burnett store, got some food from teh deli case and called it a day. Wasnt the longest of days, but was a great little trial run for my Jeep, as this was the first time back on the trail since the axle rebuild. All in all i think we had a good time.
